2009 GNAF09
GNAF09 was in a way about constraints. It had a tiny budget. It was a year of economic recession. Everything felt compressed and small. So the idea was to create something large within a small space, open the senses into giant spaces, and discover new worlds in familiar places. Clairaudient and Sarah Slifer created "The Ways We Flock" for the enormous Stage Fort Park, asking the public to bring light sources and move around the part in bird flocking patterns while the musicians played. A theater was disoriented with the video, dance, and sound. Local shop windows were Sharpied, and hand made instrument sculptures were banged on by public and performers.
